David J. Byers heads the firm’s Litigation Practice. He has
represented individuals, business entities and government agencies
in both simple and complex litigation. His litigation experience
has involved all aspects of civil litigation including eminent
domain work representing both government agencies and private land
owners, |

public utilities law, administrative mandates representing both
individual applicants for land use permits and government
agencies, complicated contract cases, civil rights litigation
and extensive experience in all aspects of real property
litigation. |

Mr. Byers has tried cases in both State and Federal Courts. Mr. Byers
received a B.A. degree from the University of Illinois in 1973 and
received his J.D. degree from the University of California at
Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, in 1978 where he was an Articles
Editor of the California Law Review and a member of the Moot Court
Board. From 1980 - 1984 he was a Deputy District Attorney (Civil
Division) for the County of San Mateo.
